How often do you clean the filter?

Default How often do you clean the filter?

hpi says to do it after 5 tank of fuel....how often is too often? just wondering when you guys clean it...all my driving is on the street...

which filter do you have? if its the tiny foam element that is like the surface area of a fingertip then every 5 tanks is about right, for an upgraded motorsavers air filter, every 10 tanks, you can make them last longer if you are less picky, just oil them good

clean it good before basshing and use some good quality oil on it, you can go for maybe an hour or two is what i would recommend, the best oil is motorcycle air filter oil, its tacky, catches every bit of dirt, and 1qt is about $6, never have to buy any again
