i only ask because my other friend bought a 15t motor and used it with his xl5 esc and the esc would get very hot

do you think my friend would have to worry about his gearing at all. he will also be running moabs on all four wheels. wil that affect the load on the motor?

if he does not have that motor, i would suggest get the whole system its cheaper... and the esc is better it has a lipo cut off... and it handles the same voltage 4-7 cells. plus buying it as a system you get a bigger discount with tower verses buying it seperatly..
again if he has the motor then its different buy what ever esc you want but if not going his route he is spending 176.99 buying the whole novek system will cost 169.99 with out the tower discount and you have the same motor and a better esc...
