Does anyone here have any experience with the Trinity Line of engines? I have been looking at buying either a trinity P12 or trinity P15 for my Lossi XXXnt. Something odd was that the infor I saw stated both engines are rated at 1.25HP,...just seemed odd that both were the same. Im looking for an engine to keep up with my buddy's nitro rustler 2.5.
Thanks,

I've heard good things about them, but I would probably recommend a Fantom just because they are cheaper, and possibly more powerful. another reason is that the replacement Piston/Sleeve for the fantom is around 40 dollars, and its 90 for the picco's making it much easier to replace so it doesn't have that "oh no im wearing down my engine I better not run more than once a month".

Picco's are great engines with plenty of power but i have noticed that they are very tempermental. the slightest turn of a screw can throw things way out of wack. I would try the Fantom like Kyle suggested or look into a Nova Rossi

My Feedback: (1)
I have had two Trinity Picco's, both .12's, one a standard exh. and the other round-side exhaust. The later was an extremely powerful engine and very easy to tune. More than once my XXX-NT wheelied over backwards down our 120 foot straight with the engine running at 205 degrees. But... Since there is no real distinct power advantage between the top of line engines out now, go with the cheaper, ie. Fantom.

Well,...... I bought the Trinity Picco P-15, standard side exhaust with pull start. I am very pleased with the engine. I am still running it pretty rich and have only ran appx 5 tanks in it so far but I am even pleased with the performance of it running rich. It seems to have plenty of power potential and it tunes pretty easily too. I paid appx $150.00 for it which was not much different in price than the Fantom. I also saw that several of the pro's run Picco engines, which I figured that there was some reason for that. Well,........ I can now keep up with my buddies 2.5 Nitro rustler.
