I Have been in RC on and off since i was 15. I am 31 now and i never got into any type of racing just had fun bashing around the playground or making make shift tracks at my friends house and stuff like that. But now im ready to take the plunge into racing. The question i have is how should i go about getting into racing there are plenty of tracks around my area and i would really love to get involved in racing but i dont want to show up with no clue and look like an idiot or get in anyones way on track and feel like a fool. I would love to get into 1/8 gas truggy and 1/10 electric stadium.
Any advice you may have would really help.
Thanks

XXXT-CR for 1/10 eletric stadium truck.. AE T4 is good too, but the losi is the newest and best as of right now.
losi eight for 1/8 nitro buggy or losi eight T for nitro truggy.
for 1/10 nitro stadium truck either the AE GT2 or the Losi XXXNT-AD2

congrats on finally wanting to race!! once you race one time , you WILL be hooked!!!
your days of bashing will be gone, because racing is that fun. just call the local track or show up at race day just to watch! dont even carry your stuff and just observe everything that is going on and check out how things are run. most tracks have a sportsman division which is beginner drivers. also most guys out at the tracks are very helpfull with new guys. just go up and talk to a few guys when they are not busy and introduce yourself. you'll be racing in no time!!

Im in the same position as you, sdp30. I used to be into rc back about 15 or so years ago. Recently i Went to a local track with my son just to check it out and remembered how much i enjoyed it. Now im in the process of getting all of my equipment to race. I believe i would have much more fun racing then just driving it around yard. I just bought a xxx-t cr yesterday and a new 2.4ghz remote. Im still deciding on a esc and motor. But hope to start going to track and practicing soon.

Not sure if this helps, but a few things you need to bring. You want to get a good size tackle boxes, perhaps a backpack for tires, radio, something safe that you can bring your batteries in, don;t forget they can't touch.lol. Perhaps see if there are some rules posted, and ask some questions, i'm sure they will help you out. Don't yell at marshal and don't forget to marshal yourself, and when you marshal, pay attention to your area, don't watch any one car.. Hope this helps
