whats your budget and where do you plan on driving it? You do realize that nitro engines require breaking in, tuning, cleaning, etc

drifting tends to be more with the electric 4wd cars, not nitro. Now, you said that this will be your first vehicle? Drifting takes much experience, and a newcommer just cannot handle it. you need to learn the basics before trying something that difficult.
i voted truggy, as you can go offroad, race, and with different tires, you can drive onroad.

i would recommend the Traxxas Nitro Sport the truck is great its perfect amount of power for the price steering is 5 star its all around a great truck plus its cheap to buy and inexpensive to fix also mods are cheap, I would recommend this truck all the way
p.s it is a stadium truck

i would go with a buggy or truggy/ stadium truck
the st-1 posted above is a great value
and many people here on rcu have had great
experiences with it
theres also the ofna ultras and the ofna hyper 7's
since its your first i would go with a duratrax
they have a 1 year part guarentee on all the plastic molded
parts
the raze is a great car i just got one myself =)
i also have the nitro evader st
its awesome
great power and handling
while still being durable and raceable and CHEAP
the st-1 posted above is a great value

The nitro sport suggestion is a great one. I have one and it is great. Also a truggy is very durable ind also the mentioned st-1 is indeed a great value

Hobbytown USA is starting to carry Redcat parts and RC's! there are also many online places. www.rc-tradingpost.com www.allaboutfunhobbies.com www.clermontmotorsports.com There are probably more but I don't know about any others.

Go with a cheap T-Maxx. Traxxas probably has the best new comer vehicles/boats... I would get a monster truck because you can pracitically do anything with them...

I got a stadium truck and it's fun, but I'd say monster truck 'cause they can go just about anywhere. That's my next R/C- maybe a Traxxas E-Maxx or Stampede.

well for nitro you have to be patient

because everycar is gunna have its problems
its not like electric where you can just plug and play
lots of matenience
thats why most people go with electric for there first car
but if you cant resist go for it
just read the manual
heres what i would go with... imo
NITRO
car- nitro tc3
stadium truck- firestorm/nitroevader/traxxas something
truggy- thunder tiger st-1
buggy- ofna hyper 7/ duratrax raze
monster truck- traxxas what ever/ savage
ELECTRIC
car- tt01/ tc4
stadium truck- rc10t4/ xxxt/ rustler
truggy- do they even make these?
buggy- how bout these?
rally- tt01
monster truck- esavage
those imo are probably the most durable
and best for a beginner
