Default Tips needed :)

Hey, well in 2 days (Christmas) i will be unwrapping my much waited Hyper 7! As soon as the batteries and roto start are charged/installed i will be wanting to run it in. But chrismas is in winter and i live in wales (in britain) and its VERY COLD here at christmas. So is there anything i should do before running it in, (in the cold or should i even do it?)
And how long should i be charging the roto start battery and the reciever battery for? Not sure what the Reciever battery is but i know that the roto start batt is a 7.2 volt (6 cell i think).
So yeah, anyhelp?
Thanks
- Crowdie

heat it up with a hair drier before you start it and wrap the head in foil to help get it up to operating temps once it's running

gotta keep it warm for brake in. the reciver pack is a 5 cell flat or hump pack to power you servos. if you have peak detection charger it will shut down when the batteries reach peak capacity. if its a timer type charger, the paper work should give you some idea about charge time, if you use a little wall charger, sorry to tell ya but you won't be driving till the next day. if you have no experence with nitro PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE BREAK IN PROCEDURE, DON'T RUSH IT<YOU CAN DESTORY THE ENGINE, GET IT OVER 200 AS FAST AS YOU CAN

Thanks guys So wrap the engine in foil after heating with hairdryer for a few mins and wait untill the next day to run my car because my batts arnt going to be charged? (Argh ive waited like half i year so 1 day wont hurt... i have to do things to it anyway like spacers rotostart and decals)
Any more tips?

Oh and anybody just watch top gear? they raced a modified g-wiz remote control version against a hotbodies lightning 10 truggy, then run it over (the lightning) so they ploped in a savage and it won!

oO got it today - looks awsome. The only thing is i cant get the bloody thing to start. After my dads countless pulls we gave up and installed the roto start. The drill thingy for the roto start turned the rod but when it got put in the hole it was really slow and struggled. The battery haddent been charged it was brand new but had some electric in it. Its now on charge and i kinda need to know how long for? Also its not too cold ou tside and my dad is very confedant that i shouldent put tin foil on the head and heat up with a hairdryer, if i dont do this is there going to be big issues? OH and another thing, in the bookl thingy it said use recomended fuels like byron, blue lightning and o donnel, if i use model technincs will something go **** up or will it be fine? thanks

Warming the motor up will make it easier to start. The weather is fairly mild today so you may be ok without wrapping the head..just make sure it does get warm enough.Model technics fuel will be ok to run it in but i would recommend you get some Byrons or Odonnels for future use.
