Did you try priming the engine?????? When trying to start it cover the exhaust stinger with your finger and look at the fuel line, you should be able to see fuel go up through the fuel line and get to the carb. Once the fuel is at the carb take your finger off and try and start it, if that doesnt work you may have a blockage within the carb. Take the carb off and clean the carb out, make sure to note where the needles are(how many turns out they are from closed) so you know where to put them back when your done. Use a carb cleaner solution or you can use some fuel to clean the carb with. Just make sure not to bend the needles when handling them.

I put gas into the carb and it starts long enough to burn the fuel and then i look at the fuel line and it has a few air bubbels in it but they dont seem to move when i prime the engine. it just seems to not be pumping is that a good sign of a cloged carb?

Check the fuel lines for a hole, if it has a fuel filter check it to make sure it is sealed and make sure the fuel tank cap is sealing. Sounds like it is sucking air somewhere. You can take the fuel tank and fuel lines off plug one fuel line submerge the tank and lines in a sink of water blow in the line that is not plugged and look for bubbles.
