Default nitro buggy

hi, my 1 10 nitro buggy lost the set screw for the rear wheel drive, so i removed all that so now all i have is front wheel drive. i took it out and ran it but it only went about 25mph, is the rear wheel drive needed to go full out? the buggy work fine before the set screw blew out. im kinda new to rc cars. thanks

Unless it's got a centre diff it'll go the same speed (if not slightly faster due to less resistance on the drivetrain) with 2WD as it would with 4WD - providing it has the traction to get the power to the ground.

snowbl!nd is correct if it has a center diff you cannot make it 2 wheel drive unless you lock the center diff.

why wouldn't you just replace the set screw?
did you want it to be two wheel drive for some reason?

I knew it, a couple of days ago the set screw blew out and i didnt have a new one so i took out the rear wheel drive shaft and ran it, but not so good with 2 wheel drive, so ill go to ace for a new set screw. thanks for the help.
