Default Help Needed Please

Hi Guy's some of you might remember i posted at xmas when i got my first 1.8th nitro. well the clutch was screwed up so the shop gave me a new one just off the shelf, which i thought was a bit weird that they didnt try to get a new part for it, but thought hey a new car will be better (it wasnt a model shop, i asked my girlfriend for the car and said she should go to a model shop for it, but she bought t from a gadget shop) anyway the new car was ok for 2 outing's. Before you ask no i didnt screw it round i was just going in big circles running it in and taking my time with it, and the same thing happened again, clutch gone again!!!!!!!!! like it's going about 5mph but i revving like mad, and wont sit still unless i have the brake on. So off i went back to the shop and they said we will get on to the manufacturer and get the part and pay for it to be fixed, after a couple of phone call's from them saying the part is on the way, on a day out we passed the shop and it's GONE the *******s have closed down, they only rang 2 day's earlier saying we'll ring you next week to sort it out.

Anyway i know sod all about them but really want my car running again, i live near Wigan in U.K does anybody know where i can get it fixed? or where i can send it to be fixed?

this is the car http://www.made-in-china.com/showroo...rd-38502-.html

any help would be great thank's

regards
Kev

you have to learn to fix it yourself.....unless you want to pay a hobby shop 25 bux/hour(sorry don;t know the conversion into pounds) for something you can do yourself as long as you have some mechanical ability........what you have there is a genuine chinese knockoff of a Team Losi LST...I would not be surprised if some of the parts are interchangable.....find a local hobby shop and take the engine and clutch in and see if they can match something up for you....

First off, will the clutchbell/pinion gear rotate freely with the engine off? No,definite clutch problem. Either the clutch shoes are bound up or the bearings are shot or both. Yes, you still need to pull the clutch bell off and check for a broken spring on a clutch shoe. No spring problems, sounds like a tuning issue.

Second, the idle speed may just be too high. do you know where the idle screw is? Counter clockwise to slow it down. if you don't have a manual you can download one here and also just do a search on tuning guides. There are several around.

Third, even though it is a Losi knock off, the parts and procedures should be similar enough to get help under the Losi truck thread. Good luck.
