I race in the buggy (Mugen MBX5r) and truggy (Jammin' CRT) in the pro class and need bearings in both cars. I need something that will last a long time, are smoothe and low on weight. Do I need ceramic or steel, and what brand should i go with (TKO, Acer, Boca etc.) Please post all opinions.

I have a set of Acer Ceramic Nitride Bearings in my truck and my problems were solved. I was blowing through rear-axle bearings like mad. I'm not a racer and look for different performance but, even though these bearings were pricey, they were completely worth it and in the long run saved me money!
