clutch problem????

Default clutch problem????

i took my car out for its first drive since i got it.. about 30 minutes into it.. something happened and dont know what caused it.. the engine revs but the car doesnt go anywhere.. is my clutch burnt out??

probably. did you take it out and look at it? maybe the spring came off. is the drive train binding?

no i havent taken it apart yet and no its not in a bind.. car still rolls free

Does the spur gear spin when you rev it?

If it doesn't then it's a clutch problem, if it does then there is a problem somewhere in the transmission.

is your car equipped with a slipper clutch? is it tight?

tighten the slipper clutch, the nut holding the spur gear, but not too tight.

sorry but i dont know what all this means.. where are these at?.. both my front and rear driveshafts roll but when i roll the car.. the 2 gears in the middle of the car dont move

AND.. when i start the car and shut it off.. when the engine shuts off.. the 2 gears in the middle of the car are spinning freely.. i dont know if those are the spur gears or not

It would help if you told us what car you have. On road, off-road, brand? You wouldn't even have a slipper clutch if it is an onroad car.

it is an ACME CONDOR with a infinity 18 pull start engine.. sorry
