hi ive got an mtr-2s, and ive got problems, seems nobody else does, but every time I take it out it is very difficult to start and once it gets started its very hard to keep it going, I have to make constant adjusments to the needles its like having to tune it in from new every time , once it gets going and properly tuned yeah its fast and fun but at present Im spending more time making adjustments than actually enjoying, I must be doing something wrong!!!! any suggestions?[:'(]

check for air leaks, fuel lines, fuel tank. start with 2-1/2 out on the high needle and 4 out on the low needle, this should be a pretty good start setting for it.

anywhere between 200 and 260, maybe a little warmer if your really getting on it. also, make sure you cut a hole in the windshield to let air flow thru the body to the engine.

here is my mtr-3...after watching Eddies and Adams vids of their truggies I told myself I had to have one...so when I was placing an order I threw it in as well and boy let me tell ya how glad I am I did...I havent ran it yet but am really impressed with it..looks really well built and I noticed Himoto has really nice manuals with their models...like the rxb-1 it has seperate compartment lid for the battery and the reciever...that makes things a hole lot easier...I didnt find a single screw loose on either of my new himotos..getting this truggy ready was a breeze and I just cant wait to get it dirty...ohhh I almost forgot....infinity engine...I've been wanting to try one of these and here is my chance..although I would have been very happy with the sh.18 I'm equally thrilled I got the infinity...I very seriously doubt you can buy a better built truggy for even close to the money as this one...thanks Eddie for hookin me up

here are some pics of my mtr-3 breakage....yeah I know I was spose to break it in not break it..but yanno how it goes...this is after rolling end over end maybe a dozen times with the lid off.....notice the plastic only broke in a small area...the posts dont even have a scuff on them..I went over this truggy when I got it and made sure everything was tight..well everything was but I gave em all a lil more..lol..anyways the screws snapped the heads are still in the shock tower and I cannot get the other end out of the diff case (without destroying it)..I've tried reverse drill bits and easy outs...them babies are in there...maybe I stressed the screws when I tightened them?..who knows..I love the plastic on this thing

Firebird.....

Wow!!!
That Musta Been a Helacious Endo, Bro!....Lol!
I Hope you got some Video

I think you might be Screwed on those Screws. (No Pun Intended)
I dont see any way of removing THOSE without some Destruction......
You might need to melt them out with a Soldering Iron, and just get a new Front Diff Case.[]

yeah I got a new diff case, shock tower and screws on the way...thats a kewl thing about these...disconnect the shock mount and the diff case has a top and bottom..not front and back...I put some diff fluid in all the diffs...I have some aluim shocks coming and will prolly put either 45 or 50 weight shock oil in em

thats just the way we folks in ks do it....lol..I didnt actually weigh the shocks but they felt pretty close to the same...still havent ran it.. I'm thinking of ordering an os tz.18 for it and putting the infinity on my firebird....big block conversion sounds nice but from what I hear the os tz is a bad mother...and it would be lighter...

Randy...

Ive heard of some folks installing the OS .18tz in the Viper/Volcano and having problems Ripping out the Diffs and Tranny....

However, My experience with the MegaP chassis/drivetrain makes me think the Himoto could Handle the Strain....

If it DID work out,,,,it would DEFINITELY Haul *****!!!

well I ran my mtr3 truggy today for the first time since I put the aluim shocks on...still had a bit more break in to do so I was taking it easy...if you were planing on buying these shocks dont bother...2 blew apart and leaked all over the lower arms and 1 just leaks..I hadnt even jumped it...think maybe t-maxx shocks may fit so I might go that route...until then im putting the stock shocks back on

Hey Randy,

Rich, how are your shocks working out?
