As far as I know (and this applies to almost every motor sport I can think of, or care about) races are won or lost because of the drivers ability to make the car (in this case, RC) do what they want. its all about the drivers ability to drive, not what they are driving. for instance, if you were to go out and race Tanner Faust through say... 100 acre wood in missouri, and you were driving his open class car, and he were driving your production car, he'd still kick your ass on the track because of his ability to control the car. dont go throwing down huge bucks on something before you can drive it. I'd personally prefer to run a Himoto at the track...I hate being ''like everyone else''. Go pick up an RXT-1, learn how to control it, take it to the track and smack the pants off the Losi, Mugen & Associated guys. You can do it, and we can help!

you should be fine if your going white, some colors like a pearl or candy red/blue need a silver or white background but with a solid color like white you should be fine.

no metal bro, maybe try a different clutch bell, could be out of round or something. I use the rs4 clutch bell with the 17 and 22 pinions.

that comes as a threaded clutch bell, you thread different teeth onto it, since its a 2 speed, you have to put 2 gears on the clutch bell. Basically its the same thing as the one you have now but with removable teeth. Tower hobbies and other hobby shops have them. Its for hpi, same teeth pitch. If you doing the mesh correctly and you keep going thru gears, the clutch bell is the only thing i can think of. I would suggest buying just the gears, you dont need to get the whole trans setup, its alot cheaper to get the gears only.

Here is my "new" rustler beater that I finished building up. The last picture shows how it was when I first got it.
