Default Transmitter issues

I am new to RC trucks and I have a Viper. It needed some repairs on the transmitter so when I got it back together I had lots of issues. When I went to adjust the steering to the left and right slightly the truck would pull to the extreame left and the extreame right. It also seems to have a jitter to it also. I was wondering if I might help to replace the transmitter crystals in both the hand held and the truck. Or does it sound like I have bigger issues than just that? If anyone has any ideas then pleas let me know were to start. Thanks

It sounds Like you may have a bad radio system.

Hi Jerrad,

What did you repair on the transmitter and what was it doing that you had to repair it? I would suggest to make sure all your plugs are in snug, crystals are also in snug. If all plugs are good and crystal is tight, try and see if you leave the radio transmitter off if it still twitches.

My steering wheel was sticking on the transmitter when I turned it to the left so I took it apart and found out that it was just a broken piece on the actual wheel. I never unpluged any of the connectors on the boards. I just unscrewed the trigger board and the steering assembly to see what was going on. And of course I had to take out the crystal. When I leave the transmitter off the truck doesn't twich.
