you will need a new flywheel unless you use the one you have. not sure if it fits or not, but new engines dont come with one of those, or the engine mounts if they are needed on that engine. basically all it will come with is the pull start and carb.

oh and it looks like you need a different engine that is the non-pullstart engine, unless you have a roto start or bump box that will fit.
This is the engine you need. the cvrX

not sure but i think the engine you have listed will only work with a starter box. you will have to wait for one of the pros to answer.

no the vx backplate will not work, you need the os setup.

do you like the rotostart that much more then pull start? i would get the cvrx and then change out the back plate later. then you will have 2 ways of starting it incase your rotostart ever breaks.
my hobby shop here has the cvrx for $95.

I'm gonna replace my sh engine and have been talking about it in some other forums. Right now I'm trying to decide between the sh.18, the os.18, and the lrp z.18. They all seem like good engines I think the lrp might have the most power but do any of you guys have any insight on what one might be best? 1/10 mamba/tsunami is what its going in and it has the .18vx now. I need more power lol.

well, weather its himoto or the other company, they both have engine replacement programs. The sh.18 has alot more power than the vx. The os cvrx has great power and is pretty much a direct replacement like the sh but will cost more money. I dont know about the lrp since i have never owned one, i like the power and ease of tuning with the cvrx for sure or any os engine but i have had no problems with the sh.18 either and they have plenty of power.

Yes they are both upgrades, The SH side exhaust is just slightly less power than the CVR (both .18's) I'm mostly a rear exhaust guy and the .18's accross the board are the same with the exception of the SH .18 Pro and the OS .18 TZ, the TZ still has the edge over the Pro but the Pro breaks less parts from shear power [&o]
