Default A good 2 ch radio?

Im looking for a decent 2ch radio (i also need a reciever, though this is a bit more nominal at this point) for an HPI Savage that I will be picking up soon. I can get the stock HPI TF3 radio but if i can get one used that is better for near the same price I would go for it. Im hoping to be able to pick a decent one up used for under 50 or 60 bucks (this may or may not be a lot to ask, im not sure, but i can get the TF3 on ebay for 30...)

I hear FM is superior, is this worth the extra cash?

The Jr xri3 is not bad my son uses it , its held up good. You shouldn't have to pay to much for it though
because of all the people people switching to spread spektrum 2.4. Fm is nicer than am in the sense
there a more channels and less of chance of frequency conflicts

FM has a lot more channels than AM.

I use an Airtronics Blazer for my Savage, works just fine, handles pretty good.
Sometimes is just the preference of how it handles. Dont get those radios that comes stock with RTR models, most of them are AM, plus the adjustments are analog (knobs). They work for their purpose but somehow they just dont feel right compared to aftermarket radios.

For that budget, you'll have a lot of choices when it comes to ebay.

Try an MX3, or MX3-S. Should be affordable because of newer technology.

The JRxri3 is good also. Futaba are good also. Just make sure to look for the features you like, model memory, trim adjustments, reversing, etc.

I say this one is cool

However i would probably just go with the standard Airtronics radio.
