You cut a small peice from an angle bar, about as wide as the bump access hole on the chassis. (aluminum or metal) you can use one or two, these are bolted to the starter box and serves as a guide to the bump access hole. So it would line up the bump wheel to the flywheel on most cars without using the guide posts.

Being that different cars have engines in different spots on the chassis the holes in the chassis will be a big difference and don`t see how that would work .

True, I agree.
This is a very old mod that I knew from very long time ago. If you set it up for a specific car/truck, then it would only work with something similar to it.
I myself dont even use guide posts, I just hold tight and steady with both hands, line them up, then push down. No mods necessary.

Thanks guys,
I thought I remembered reading something like this in a magazine once. My son and I have several different models of buggies and truggies and changing around the pegs gets time consuming. Thought about the plates but they are model specific too.
Thanks again
Dwayne
