does it get hard when, all the time or when u cranking of couple of pulls. It could be getting flooded with fuel,if not try loosening the glow plug a bit to take the stress of the pull start.it usually works all the time, when it starts tightened her back up again.

definetly should invest in a rotor start or better yet get a backplate and use a starter box,the one way bearings on the rotor start sometimes blow too.pain in the ass.Best thing is a starter box, don't have any links but try a main hobbies, great hobby shop.

I broke 2 or 3 pullstarts on my HF b4 investing in a starter box, but if yor fairly new 2 rc probably just get a new pullstart, but do as paulino said re glow plug/flooded and also only pull short (4inch) strokes on the pullstart, if it doesnt start after a couple of pulls or is very tight stop. Heating up the engine first will also help although the k4.6 doesnt really need to be heated as pinch isnt very tight.
No matter wat u do u will still break pullstarts over time.
