Are These Batteries Good for Start?
Hey I want to try and get into Lipo and I need to know the basics. I found these on Tower Hobbies and they look like they would be a good starter battery. I don't have much money and I don't need anything fancy but I would like to try out Lipo.
Thanks

RE: Are These Batteries Good for Start?
Those are good batteries. They are the only lipo I am allowed to run under TCS rules. You will have better acceleration and top end in comparison to a 7.2V NiMH pack. Even though they are rated at 2400mah, runtime is roughly equivalent to a 3000mah NiMH pack.
One thing to remember, you should run a voltage cut-off device (or warning buzzer/light) if your esc does not have lipo protection (voltage cut-off to protect from draining the lipo too far).
