Default Build or Buy Built

I'm looking to buy a nitro buggy, but ideally i would like to build one myself. Does anybody know of any good ones at around £200 UK pounds ?

or should i buy a HPI Trophy 3.5 as i like it and seems to be a good one ???

If you buy a kit, you are more than likely have to buy the electronics (battery, radio, servo, charger) for it if you don't have anything to begin with.

Thanks for the reply.

I spotted a self build full package deal on an Ansmann Virus for £215 but wasnt sure if the HPI Trophy 3.5 was a better buggy.

Any info on the 2 would be appreciated.

I say build it if you can afford it.

Is this going to be your first RC? How involved do you plan on being in this hobby?

I wish I would have planned better in the beginning so I could have saved money by spending a little more up front.

I say build it, but if it's your first RC RTR might be the way to go. I would personally never buy an RTR, unless that's all that is offered, because they're generally not as high of quality as a kit. Kits are more expensive though when all is said and done. It also depends on how mechanically inclinded you are. If you're good at fixing/working on stuff than a kit probably wouldn't be too hard for you.
