They have so many of chassis(s)... I know alot of the chassis share components and some of the designs.
However, when you have so many chassis(s), it becomes hard to find aftermarket parts and upgrades. Companies that make aftermarket parts arent' going to make parts for every chassis..

That depends on which companies you're talking about.
The chassis are all different for a reason. I'd rather have more choice than less.
You have what? 1 rc car?
*edit* go on www.rcmart.com and you'll see that 3racing makes aftermarket parts on almost all the tamiya chassis.

In RC cars its the chassis that really defines the car. Two 1:1 vehicles can share a frame/driveline/suspension and be completely different vehicles because of whats built onto it. For us all thats built onto the frame/driveline/suspension are body mounts and a body, and we change bodies often and the only real different is aesthetics. Think of the Rustler and Stampede, pretty much every part is common besides the chassis and they are totally different rigs, even when using the same wheels and body.
Bottom line is, to have different cars you need different chassis.

If you look at tamiyas website most of there cars are the same chassis but are named differently because they have a couple different parts. Look at the db01 you have the baldre and the Durga two different names same chassis. Do you think there going to use the same chassis over and over agian? Newer better designs come along.
