I too break something when I go out, that is what bashing is all about. Many times, I do eventuially wind up ding something stupid and braking something I shouldnt have, but for me, the teardown, maintenance, and repairs are part of the fun.

If you're asking this because your TMAXX breaks all the time, thats becuase the TMAXX is very fragile...Yes, it breaks more then other comparable RC's such as REVO, Svage, LST2, etc.

I rarely break things. When I take my xxx-t out to 1/8 trakcs is where I break things going off the huge jumps but everytime I go out to a track my car is always prepped perfectly, ie. hinge pins are smooth are clean which allow a bind free suspensnio, bearings are oiling and inspect every part of the car. Maintence failures seem to be the only time I break though. I drive very clean....

Definitly dont get the Revo. I think you are limiting yourself to Traxxas. Look at other brands like Losi, Associated, and HPI. The LST2 handles better than the Revo and is WAY more durable than the Revo, both the LST2 and Savage are about the same in durability. Plus, if you get either the LST2 or the LST XXL, they both come with a killer radio system and engine.

Don't get a REVO...Get a Savage X and put the SUspension Conversion kit on it...It's Faster than a REVO and handles just as good.

Absolutely! Even as a child, if you express honest desire to do some work, even for $20-$25 a weekened, someone will pay you to do something. If you are willing to push a lawn mower, I will not be surprised if someone will pay you $35 to do the lawn.
I strongly suggest you take you parents with you to do the wheeling and dealing, that way you do not get screwed over, and more importantly, they are there to keep you safe.

I don't break much. Of coarse, i don't bash too much either. I do race alittle. Most of what you are experiencing will deminish with practice. Let me pose a question to you: How well do you drive RC? You'll find the better you drive, the less you'll break.
this is not to say that Some cars are more prone to breakage than others. My suggestion: sell your e-max, and buy something with a better reputation for what you want from RC. I race a b4 and t4; I bash with a first year Jammin X1-cr and X1-crt. Both bashers are 1/8 scale and almost bulletproof. I wouldn't dare run my B4 over a 5' jump, catch 12-15 feet of air, and land on flat ground without expecting something to break, but both 1/8 scalers do it commonly without failure.
Bottom line: you get what you pay for. (not to be harsh, but it's true. buy cheap, and pay for parts later; or.. buy mid to expensive, and buy quality)
Good luck
