Antenna locations?
I already had the plastic tubing break at the base of where it's installed due to branches and bushes, my Savage XL landed upside down. I already ordered another platic antenna tube to replace, but don't want this to happen again. So, my question is does anybody run with the antenna tucked inside the car body or does that affect the radio range and response? If anyone has pics or info as to how they run their truck with the antenna in or out and if it affects the transmitter/receiver performance, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

RE: Antenna locations?
depending on the system you are running, if it's a quality FM radio you should have no problem, just tuck under the body and secure it to the chassis so it does not move or shift.

to avoid antenna tube breaking cut the tubing before where it exited in the body then insert a fuel tubing to it and connect the outer end, this way everytime the truck flips it will just bend instead of breaking...just make sure the wire inside is slack so it won't be pulled when it bends particularly if u put end cap...my 2cents
