OK. So I finally ordered my Losi 8ight-t RTR. I have a couple of questions about the glow starter. Should I get the ones that recharge and have a meter? Or should I buy one of those starter boxes? What is the difference between the two.

get a starter box it is faster and easier imo

Both a glow starter and starter box are required to start the engine. One will not start the engine without the other - the starter box turns over the engine, the glow starter heats the glow plug to ignite the fuel

Never tried a starter box but I use a HPI glow ignitor with meter and a pull start. Really easy to use and only requires a couple pulls on the pull start and she's ready to go. Plus it beats carrying around a starter box. At the end of the day, just plug it in to the wall charger over night and your good to go for the next day. That's just my 2 cents.

The RTR comes w/ electric start. I would just get a recharable glow ignitor.
