What rc should i choose?
I have a rapid VH-A6 which goes 60 mph, but it keeps breaking and i cant race anywhere. I want to sell it and get a good truck or buggy that is less than $200 and easy to find part for. I can't find anything!!

For $200, there isnt any options better than that car you have now. Save up another $100-200 and then you can get cars that dont break as much.
Do you intend to race?

RE: What rc should i choose?
check out the MGT 3.0 by Associated. I was kinda in your boat a month ago. My Redcat Lightning car kept breaking (primarily b/c I crashed it a lot and didn't know about breaking in the engine and overheated it and...) Well, I learned a lot the first month of driving that thing. I got it all figured out and it's fine now. But I wanted an inexpensive truck. It came down to the MGT. It's $259 and if you buy it at Tower Hobbies now you get $25 off. Mine came in a couple days ago. It was $244 delivered. I am going to break it in today.

RE: What rc should i choose?
I thought about the slash, but i like 4wd and good batteries and chargers are expensive, so i looked at the slayer because i really like the scale look but that is around $400. I don't know if i would race very often but there is a short offroad track at a hobby town to drive at. I just dont like my car because there is nowhere to race it. Im looking for 1/10 scale and preferably nitro, but electric is O.K. (How fast does the slash go stock with an average sized batterie? i can never tell in the traxxas videos.)

The Slash is a corr truck, not actual trucks like a xxx-nt.
The Slash would be good if you want electric, as you dont need alot of money to maintain it since everyone has the same power you do. Your not going to find a track that races the Slayer. It really isnt that popular. A stock s;ash should go about 20-27 mph stock depending on battery. If $400 if your price limit, look at the 8ight rtr, [link=http://www.carolinasrc.com/Webstore/Scripts/prodView.asp?idProduct=2889]HERE[/link]. It is $400, but is 1/8, VERY durable and 1/8 buggies are the msot popular class in RC. It has a 2.4ghz radio which means you dont need crystals and a great rtr engine. If you want to go a bit cheaper, look at the Thunder Tiger ST-1, [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/17279]HERE[/link]. It is durable, can hold its own at a race track, and cheaper than the losi 8ight.

RE: What rc should i choose?
i know. i just dont have alot of money to spend on the trucks, but i might be able to spend 300 if i can sell my car on ebay for around 200. its probably worth more but last night i looked at it and the cooling head is loos and i cant get one screw out because it is stripped so i cant start it, otherwise it is a great car.

the MGT 3.0 just got marked down to $219 at Tower Hobbys, and you would still get the $25 off. That makes it a sub $200 MT. I paid $259 a couple weeks ago. Now that I called Tower Hobbys, They gave me a $40 credit. What to buy, what to buy.... maybe I'll just wait till something breaks.

RE: What rc should i choose?
You could always get an evader EXT you can find them for 90 bucks and would only need radio/battery/charger or they had the payment option on Tower where you could get everything for like 170 or 180. Or you can probably find a used Evader ST on ebay for 100 bucks ready to run.

RE: What rc should i choose?
I just got the slash about two weeks ago and i love it, but it is hard to drive on road because the suspension is so soft. but i fixed it with the spacers for the shocks. i got a 7 cell 8.4 V. 3000 ma battery and i drove it next to a street with cars going at least 40mph and the slash looked like it was going a bit faster which surprised me because i was using the small pinion gear. But thanks for everyones help because the slash is the perfect truck for me.

RE: What rc should i choose?
i know, it was confusing me but it looked like it was going as fast as the cars on the road next to it and the speed limit there was 40mph, but i doubt it was going that fast.
