Help with cleaning mixture. Please
I have heard of a homemade cleaning mixture that consists of simple green, denatured alcohol, and water. What is this mixture? I think it is one part simple green, one part denatured alcohol, and two parts water. am i correct?

Personally, I mix it in three equal parts water, simple green, and alcohol. Some people add a little WD-40 because one recipe posted online included it. Bad idea - it doesn't stay in suspension and will clog the spray nozzles(it IS a water displacer, after all).

I've also read where Simple Green can ruin anodizing......not had any personal experience with that, but it might not hurt to remember that....
I've used a 50/50 mix of Simple Green and rubbing alcohol as a tire cleaner at the dirt track for years....

Things with Amonia can damage Anodizing. I remember soaking some old shock bodies in some "Awesome Green" Knockoff stuff and it stripped them prety good [>:]

i buy wd-40 by the gallon, put it in a spray bottle, blow off the cars, spray them down with wd-40, let it sit for like 5-10 minutes and blow them off, they look like brand new. The alcahol can whiten platic parts and make chrome look milky. WD wont harm the electrics either. I have been using it for years with no problems.
