Default throttle and brake setting losi 8ight-t

Alright. Fixed my earlier start up problems. It was a bad glow plug and then I had to reset some of the needles. Okay. So when the throttle servo is in the neutral position on my Losi 8ight-t should there be no brake resistance at all? Or should there be slight brake pressure even when I am not applying the brakes with the transmitter?

It depends. Some like to set some slight brake and some like totally free rolling.

I set mine so there is no brake. All you will do is wear the brakes out sooner if you set it with some brake on.

+1 usually you want no resistance. Another problem you will have is when you jump, the buggy will keep on nosing forward.

I didnt mean setting the brake to where the wheels stop. I know some that race with slight brake and do good. Kinda like using the ABS feature on electrics. I like freewheel.

Okay. Thanks for the info. I think I will put on a slight brake pressure setting when the truck is in neutral.

If your carb is tuned properly it won't run away - speed run or not. It will just sit nicely and idle.
For those that feel the need for braking at idle, if you vehicle is trying to move at idle then your engine is not tuned right and all you are doing is treating a symptom at the expense of your clutch shoes and brake pads not fixing the underlying problem.
