Default Savage engine running problem!

I've got about 3/4 a gallon of fuel thru my savage. I decided to return the needles to factory and re-tune it up. I've got the high and low speed needles down to about 3 turns. Runs good good like that....hits second nice. BUT....the thing will not idle worth anything. The idle screw looks to be adjusted correctly...it always has a 2mm gap in it. If i let it idle for about 5 seconds it dies. I'm running blue thunder 20% in it. I'm thinking maybe it too rich or something because if i put it on a box and run it there ends up being a big pile of oil from the exhaust on the box in a matter of 2 minutes? Anyone have the same problem or any advice to try and follow?

Thanks in advance!

Default Savage engine running problem!

prolly only ran 8 tanks of gas thru it....never ever ran it lean...i have a temp gauge and have always ran it within the low side of the safe range. engine has awesome compression so i know that is not it. The blue thunder gas actually has less oil than most gases...it has about 14% whereas most gases have 20% oil. like i said it runs well when i stay on the throttle but say i run it good and then bring it by for a temp reading and let it idle it just dies within 10 seconds or so and i know for sure the idle screw is adjusted good. i did ruin the low end needle o-rings but i have since replaced them and got it running again. The directions about going back to factory setting are not that clear but i'm sure i got that down as well. I'm just at a loss here. maybe the clutch spring is wore out but after 8 tanks of gas? that doesn't make sense. Any help will be welcomed.

Thanks
