for me I'd say about 200 to 300, but I have 11 RC's lol

My record would be 2800$ in a month spend in R/C things. including engine, kits and parts

Hmm...Depending on how money I have. Between tires, engines, sloppy parts, etc. I probably spend about $100-$400 a month. This is with 1 race buggy, if I raced my 1/10 truck then it would be more like $200-$700.

I have a goal now, of spending well under $200 per month on RC gear. I am trying to save up for another whole brand new RC, and so far, I was good enough to spend only $50 last month on RC stuff, including some RC mags!

Well, its not that what Im saving up for will stop me from spending mucho bucks on RCs, the new RC that I am coveting is like just shy of $3K USD!!!!!! So much saving and skrimping is in order []

In other words, I am more or less saving out of necesity for the want of that new RC!

This hobby will always leave me broke! There is always something to buy! Repairs, new products, upgrades.

Normally I would just say about $100 a month, but this being tax time I've spent a considerable amount this past month.

Baja 5B ss $900
Hpi Cup Racer $210
AE SC10 $190
Futaba 4PK $500
Extra reciever $100
Hyperion Charger $120
2 lipo packs $200, $100ea
Novak Havoc $150
Servos $150
Misc baja upgrades $150

Thats brings my grand total to roughly $2670 for the month. You definately can't say that I'm not doing my part to stimulate the economy, lol.

Whoo boy! You can definitely say that again!

Sounds like quite a shopping list there, I am surprised, you literally bought everything from scratch!

BTW, you will love the Baja SS!

Sure you are...You spend lots of money at your LHS and the owners run out and buy new cars. LOL. My R/C's are worth more than the cars I drive on the road. [8D]

Usually less than $100 a month. I buy and sell audio gear to finance this hobby, last month was a good month. With $1000 play money it was easy to spend it on this hobby... new radio, Picco engine, tires and rims, etc. I probably spent $500 alone on my Savage. It's not a cheap hobby but I try to keep my 4 cars and my son's 3 cars running by wheeling/dealing and side work. I never take from savings or use a credit card and I could just as easily spend $100 a weekend at a bar, but I don't. In fact my only vices are this hobby and 1:1 size cars.

I'm sure I will love the Baja, unfortunately I'm still waiting for my local hobby store to get some in[:@] I already paid in full for it too, so I can't really look else where for one, oh well. And my cup racer has been stuck in the US customs for over a week!
Good thing I got my SC10 to hold me over or else I would be going insane right now, lol.

That's true Chummer, but they better be buying American cars! Especially since it's Michigan, lol.

I have about 15 cars but recently I purchased a Baja SS and a HPI Baja 5t. These large scale cars hopups parts can get very expensive. I have spent so much money in the last couple of months I stopped counting! It is so easy to blow 200.00 or more in parts.

I WAS spending about $600 a month for 3 years. Due to injury and the financial problems that can come along with it, my monthly spending has been $0 for a whole year[:'(]!
I wasn't even able to drive them. Heavy, heavy withdrawal symptyms!!!

Was finally able to scrape together enough to get a MGT 8.0.

Aaaahhhhh...that feels more betterer!!!

I would say about $100 a month easily.........until the mobile-hobby shop (hobby shop in a trailer! lol) at the track got a debit card machine... I try to just "miss-place" the receipts now....
