Hello everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Anyway, I own an Himoto Rapida Pro, and am having 2 issues. First of all after running the car and being very easy on it I noticed a problem. The switch of the reciever sometimes turns off (even while in the on position) during driving. I know this is extremely dangerous and I should get a failsafe or something, but why does the reciever keep turning off during driving? I don't see one on the spare parts list, and I'm worried to take my car to Cyclone Hobbies because I dont't think they have the correct part. Please lead me to a replacement switch for the starter box.
2nd Issue,
I removed the pull starter today to install the Power E Starter. I installed the drill plate to the back of the engine and installed the battery to the right place on the drill tool. When I engage the shaft into the rear of the engine, the engine doesn't turn over, sure everything spins fine but the nut on the plate isnt fitting with the one on the engine, its not catching, like it fits ok. And if i shimmy my shaft a little to the left or right the fly wheel as well as the piston rotates once or twice, but not enough to start the engine.
The first issue is more important.
Thanks so much,
Jon
P.S. Im a beginner rc hobbiest just wanting to run my car without these annoying issues. LOVE THE RAPIDA PRO THOUGH!

Do you mean the on of switch on the car because at the end you say starter box. Even if you have a failsafe, if the switch goes off, it wont help, you lhs will have a switch for sure, they are all basically the same.
For your electric start, you either have a bad or going bad one way bearing or you have the one way in the wrong way. Did it used to pull fine with the pullstart on, if so the one way bearing is in the wrong way, just flip it around.

when you took the pullstart off there is a nut (what engine do you have, if its an infinity it has the nut) you have to turn it around the other way. With the switch, if its new just contact who you bought it off of and have them send you a replacement swtich.

Sarge.....
Here are a couple pics of the One Way Bearing(OWB).....It's a Similar concept for all engines, even if yours Looks different.
It can be installed backwards, in which case the Engine wont start.
Just take it apart again and flip the OWB around....It should start right up..

Glad we could Help!...
The reciever switch you need probably looks something like [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXH460&P=7]THIS[/link] or [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLZK0&P=7]THIS ONE[/link].....
You shouldnt have any problem finding a switch like these at your LHS.....The idea is to find one that matches Your connectors....
