Default Quick newbie question (crystals)

hey all,

I just bought my gf an MGT 3.0, great truck by the way. After breaking it in for her, I decided to pull out my Jato. It was then that I realized that the cars are on the same frequency, 27.045Mhz.

Can I change the frequency of one of the vehicles by simply buying a set of new crystals for the transmitter and receiver? I believe they are around $11 or so. Is this really all I need?

Thanks!

Yes, that's really it.
Just be sure that the crystals you buy will work in your equipment. Not all crystals work in all equipment.

I have also heard that swapping the tx and rx crystals may work

You could try it. It won't damage anything even if it does not work. If you decide to try then field test the system before you fire it up.
