Is there a difference between the two?
I need one for my Kyosho HOR. Seller on ebay told me that its just a marketing term, but pretty much the same.
I compared their sizes and are almost identical, but there are slight differences from manufacturer to manufacturer.

There's quite a difference.....can't rememebr for sure, but the sub-micro may generally have only 1 mounting hole per side while the micro has 2 per side. Best to go to the Manufacturer's website and check specs (dimensions). Tower Hobbies usually lists this type of info as well, but you're never sure how they measure it.....i.e. length.......to end of tabs, or to end of case?

The difference is pretty small. A sub micro is smaller than a micro, and like argess often only have one mounting hole (but not always) Honestly there is as much variance in the sizes of "micro"servos as there is between micro and what is considerd "sub-micro", in fact many MFG's don't even differentiate. If something is made for micro, a sub micro will work, but if its made for submicro, then some micro's may be too big, depending on the servo....
?? hes not looking for votes, he is asking what the difference is, not which is better...

some words have multiple meanings....
versus can mean "against" like you are thinking... but it can also mean "As the alternative to or in contrast with" in the way ASSOCIATED_DRIVER used it....
I dont know why you have a problem with it anyhow...
