Default New Traxxas 1/16 Slash!

Looky what I got today.

1/16 Ams Oil Slash. Brushed version, but still very bad ***. This thing handles great!

Talked to a guy that was an Ams Oil dealer, and he had ordered a few of the Slashes for himself, and I talked him in to ordering one for me. He drove 2 hours today to meet me at my work, and he didn't even make any profit of it!

After the first run

Few more that I took after I ran it around the yard.

Ran two 1600mAh Max Amps packs, and the stock Traxxas pack through it tonight, handles really good. Runtime is around 35-38 minutes on a 1600mAh pack, and 30-35 minutes on the stock pack, which is 1200mAh

BTW
The 1/16 vehicles will be offered in both Brushed and Brushless

Brushed Slash #7005
Brushed Revo #7105
Brushless Slash#7008
Brushless Revo#7108

Do you think the brushless ones will get better run times?

Yes, and don't forget, you can get the Parrelell adapter and run two battery packs in parralell. So if I ran two of the Max Amps 1600 packs in Parrallel, I would have roughly 3200mAh, so probably around 1 hour of runtime on the brushed system.

How much?
And how is it offroad?
How big is it? Compared to a 1/10 on road car? ie what wheelbase etc?

Looks like it should be a lot of fun!

It isn't more expensive. The Brushed Mini-Slash and the Brushed Mini-Revo are both going to be $199.99 The Brushless Mini-Revo and Brushless Mini-Slash will be $289.99 And don't forget it comes with a battery, and charger, so its actually going to be cheaper for someone getting into the hobby, because with the 1/10 slash, after the $199.99, you have to buy a $50 charger, and a $25 battery.

P.S. Traxxas has pushed the release date back farther to May 30th for the Revo, and Slash.

Thanks,
Shaun

The 380 motor is 18 Turns. And you can only run up to 7.2 volt on the ESC. As far as I know. I will see if the specs are in the book tonight.

Thanks,
Shaun

looks great but I wish they would make the 1/10 slash 4wd because that truck flips over constantly. I found that if its 4wd it doesn't flip as much for some reason "experimented with the slayer"

Blast from the past thread, but still a good thread. You can buy them here... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXWEP2**&P=ML and other places. Tower's is where I do most of my shopping unless I need something asap. (MODEL 7108) taken from http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec..._erevo7108.htm
