pouring bleach on the road makes ur tires smoke white as hell.

at least with normal cars ive never tried it with a r/c

He wants them to smoke so bleach would do the trick.I've seen video's of 1/5 cars smoking the tires but not a 1/10.I can spin mine easily but no smoke.

I saw a vid of a BL TC3, atleast I think it was, and the guy just held onto the back of the car and floored it. They were foam I believe. The tires got all elongated, left a nice black patch, and smoked a little....

Ever see the movie Ocean's Eleven? It shows a guy smoking the tires on what looks like a 1/8 or larger monster truck, so there must be some way to do it.

what i do is turning fast and full speed and it goes around in a small circle and making a little cloud heh. but its 4WD so its kinda hard to come in this little circle
it aint coming much smoke thou.. but a very little.. or u cud do as the other guy said. put ur foot infront of it and just full gas heh..

Hmm.. I didnt know about the bleach!!! I'll be sure to try that with my friend's rear drive car!!

One way to get more power.. (unless you want a 4WD burnout) is to disengage 2 of the wheels (fronts?).
This way you get literally twice the power (or speed if you have an open diff) to the rears.

Also.. try this. With the front tires disengaged....Go about 30Mph..
Slam the wheel to the left or right.. hit the brakes SLIGHTLY till it fightails.. Then when its about 180' out and STABLE.. Slam the throttle.

If you got foams.. that will give you a cool lookin stunt!
PS: That trick will cost you about $3.75 worth of tire! lol

1/8 on road car + mod 21 engine + hard foam.

lock stering (full L or R), WOT and let car do donut... will smoke but not too much.

The bleach will eat at your tire, or thats what i heard.

damn...no older drag racing fans I see,thats what they used to use back in the day before they figured out its really bad to breathe the vapor/smoke from that so they stopped doing it.I'm pretty sure it'll eat your tires....the reason they used it was to make the tires really slick for the beginning of the burnout to make the tires spin easier,after that the heat from the spinning tire burns away the bleach and you're left with hot,grippy tire.I believe the bleach eats the rubber and makes it slick kinda how purple degreaser makes your fingers slick and really grippy when you dry 'em

yeah its bad to breath, but ur not goin to be smokin up a whole parking lot like u would with a real car. and dude ur doin a burnout of course its goin to eat tires.

if ur really worried about it u could just wash them off after ur done drivin it. that way if there was any bleach left on the tires it wouldnt continue to eat the rubber.

i wash my wheels/tires after a run anyways.

I would say oil but it will make your body a blackish brownish color and just to let you know on real cars when you spin out for a while with bleach like on a burn out contest it will make your tires catch on fire but all you have to do is just let off the brake and pull away and it will go out.

i used pathmark lemon scented bleach and nothing happened. i have an rc10gt and i put on the stock tires that are now completely bald and the only thing happening was the bleach got on my shirt and now i have white spots. so whats up?

i dont think that regular rc rubber tires can really smoke out. Not enough power and weight on em. Also the rubber that rc cars use arent any where near regular car rubber. If you get them to smoke tho ur a lucky guy/gal

I got em to smoke. Put my foot in front of em and WOT they smoke and leave nice tread on the assfault. Gotta find the right surface to do it on and it works.

If your gonna do something do it right..

You can also ram your car against a brick wall and smoke the tires. No fun!

been reading this forum. Why would you want to "smoke" the tires anyway. don't they cost enough already with out having to peel them off the road?

heh very true... always little fun to see the smoke but what i see mostly is my engines smoke when i try to smoke them

Smoking tires is cool. I use foam tires and they peel out very well. I have soooo many extra sets of tires it really doesnt matter if I loose a set or two.
