Maxamps used to be pretty cheap, just when lipos were taking off. Used to be an Ok choice because of the price. Now their prices went up as EVERYONE elses prices went down. hmmmm.

ORIGINAL: Access

Maxamps used to have some of the best prices out there. 2, 3, maybe 4 years ago. A 3s 4000mAH was less than $100. Anyone remember the exact timeframe and when they turned?
It was between 12-6 and 7-7 that Austin sold many packs "on sale" The price was great even though the product was not a 20C product as advertised. It was right at the time they used the pre-fix HV and "copper tab" It was in the 20C era. The price AND product has grown tremendously. I am not surprised.

Isee this time and time again where one offers great intro prices, sales, typical marketing stuff to get a market share and then the price is raised to a level where some money can be made. It's a model that works and is repeated over and over in many if not all industries when new business enters into a market that's growing. I personally can't stand the model myself , but it does work.
