Today was the last 2 rounds of qualifications, and the racing was as intense as it has been for the entire event. The drivers were pushing to the limits to qualify in the best positions for the Mains that start tomorow morning. Here are some pictures from today's racing. I hope you enjoy
Tomorrow I will more than likely not have many pictures. I will be video taping the Mains, and will have those videos available in the complete write-up of the event in the RCUmagazine.
I hope you enjoy the pictures

Well, the ROAR Electric Off Road Nationals is over. And all I can say about it is WOW!!!! What an event. Today's racing was very exciting to watch and take in all the action. It was easy to see that these drivers were indeed the best in the country. It was a great treat to watch them race to be the National Champ in their given classes!!!
Sorry, but there isn't any pictures from today's racing. I know, I know what you're saying. But, I spent the entire day capturing all the racing action to video!!!! That will be included in the full write-up of the event that will appear in the RCU Magazine. I have each and every main race on video, and will include them in the full write-up as well of pictures of all of the cars that were ran. So keep an eye on the RCU Magazine for the article to go live. I'll post in here as well when it is up.
Until then, here are the full results of the racing took place here this week.
The RCU Event Staff will on location in 3 weeks in Joliet, Il for the ROAR Nitro Off-Road Nationals to bring that event to all of our members.

I hate the A1 A2 A3 mains. Pretty confusing for most people IMO. Seems like just another 3 qualifyers. I know they only ran 1 main at the ROAR Gas Buggy Nationals at THUNDER ALLEY! But if somone breaks in the Amain at the gas nats, they will finish bad. if someone breaks in the electric nats and wins the other 3 rounds, won't that person still be in contention? Do they do the A1 A2 A3 to make up for the time?

For tripple A-mains, you race in 3 races, and one of the races is a drop unless there is a tie breaker (like in 2wd mod buggy). So if you win 2 of the 3 rounds, then you are the winner, then if say there is a tie in points like with the mod buggy race, RC and JT had a 1st and 2nd so that put them in a tie, but because RC also had another 2nd, and RT had a 5th then the over all win goes to RC. If you know anything about motocross then you can think of the scoring as the same, but because in RC racing they run a 3rd round that covers the tie, and gives the guy who was truly better that day the win. Then if the 3rd round doesn't break the tie, then it comes down to the fastest time.
But yes if you break out of the race in one of the 3 A-mains, you still have 2 more runs for a chance at the over all win although if you do break then it makes it harder to get the win, and if comes down to a tie then you will finnish in the lower spot between the person you are tied with.
I am sure part of it is due to the run time, but the other part is it makes it harder to get the over all win, as 1 mistake can cost you a race, or maybe the leader pulls away from the pack in one run, but in the others he can't get away, etc. Also they only run the tripple A if there is 2 full heats in the class.

I'm not sure who was shooting that video. But it's just about the same place I was shooting from. I'm working as fast as I can to get our coverage up. But there is A LOT of material to process. I'll have all 44 of the Mains up to watch. As well as HUNDREDS of pictures from the event. I'm hoping to have it all finished this weekend and up.

It is being finalized and should be up this week. Since this is the first car event we've covered we had to figure out a few things on how we wanted to present that. It's all figured out and I'm finishing it up. I can tell you this much, there are over 700 pictures of the cars in the event!!!
