well I like to out do the next guy without busting up my rc's ... it seems popular belief is if you have the best 2 min bash contest you have to break parts to win...I never understood that but heck what do I know...

I agree this will let all contestants be very creative... and it will seem like the you will have to be very good with editing and have a good program to win... I dont believe so...I think a guy that has a better actual vid should win... I guess what I am saying is pretend your new to rc and or dont know anything about himoto...what kinda commercial would sell you? what would catch your eye? make a video that would make you say "oh wow, I gotta have one of those"..

WELL put randy... Some people might have SWEET editing tools but the video blows... and some people might not be the brightest at editing but have a KILLER video. alot of people would go for the Editing skills and vote for them.

I havent the slightest idea how to edit video on Linux...I dont have a prog to do it, but I bet I can find one...have we had a best body paint contest? I'm wanting to strip the paint from my Syclone, and re-do it...factory is fine, but I have a tendency to change everything that belongs to me.

I think it will be the best commercial, winner gets either the mxb-3 or mtr-3 BUT we need at least 10 entries.

So, why not only advertisement pics since people are going to choose a video and not a pic. Editing softwares and HD camaras are going to kick out the pics. Just my opinion.

I am going to give until the 14th to get opinions on it.  The contest will start on the 15th and end August 15th.

yeah and no....yeah meaning it may be hard to beat out a commercial that has video if you have only pics (I think it could be done)...and no meaning you do not have to have excellent editing skills or hd camera to win...I believe this was covered in Adams and I previous posts....yall gotta remember this WILL NOT be a public voting contest..Eddie and the ruthless gang in ny are the judges, this means it will be unbiased and all that good stuff....

with that said what he the king decides is best is kewl with me...I've already started on my entry and I can go either way....iffin ya ever seen any of my videos you can tell I'm puter stupid and cant edit worth nothin...lol, that and well my camera isnt that great...but heck I'm in it for the fun....

You COULD make it a 2 tiered contest.......

A larger Prize for a Commercial VIDEO..[if there are enough entrys].....(It takes more effort to shoot n edit a video).

A smaller prize for a Commercial PHOTO......(That way EVERYBODY will be able to enter and have a chance to win SOMETHING).

Maybe a rule that says one person cant win BOTH contests.
If one person has the best entry in BOTH, then they win the bigger Prize and the smaller prize would go to the runner up in the smaller category.
