Big props to you for taking the inicitive in this down economy to keep the hobby alive!
It has allways been my dream to have a job in the Hobby indusrty. Hopefully one day I can open a small shop with an on road and an off road track in it. I owned a restaurant before, it was sucessfull business but the parnership and soon fell apart, so I cant see a hobby shop being any harder than the hours and time I put in ot that.

Just remember one thing, dont make a track simply for money. You aren't going to make any money the first couple years. I am actually going to get government grant money for my track(no wonder why they are in debt!).

Good stuff! I hope you keep us updated as you build it and what all you have to go through to get it up and running smoothly and legally.
I would love to open a public track. I've built my own personal track. I have the land, equipment access, and resources, but our RC community is much smaller here and the overhead costs to get it running legally and safely (insurance mainly) are too great and time consuming for me to pursue right now. I hope it works out and look forward to updates and PICS!
