Default need help on pull starter

hi! i got a tamiya 12lt engine with pull start (comes rtr with a subaru wrc body). haven't use it for a while and when i did a few days ago, the pull start wouldn't just budge as inch... with the help of a tip from a site that i forgot now, i disassembled the engine but mess up with the pull-start. any tips on how can i rebuild the pull start back? i am wondering if a starter box will work with my kit, any info on how this thing works? what are the things to consider if ever i opt for a starter box? ty

Did you see if the engine was bound up??? Check the wheel that comes out under the chassis and try hand turning it untill it feels a bit looser.
