If your selling you get the money first !
If your buying, check out the sellers rep. Go through a trusted site/seller.
If its a big company, say like Tower hobbies, just use a credit card, they are pretty safe, and Tower dont steal so...

What about trading car for car?

I have a RC 18 MT and a Mini T Iwilling to trade for a crawler.

Another though, if you're willing to put a few bucks into it, would be to start an ebay auction with the terms geared specifically to the one person.

This approach assumes you both have ebay accounts.

Then, you're both protected by ebay's terms and PayPal's, if there's money exhange involved.

Let your tradee know about the auction and he should snipe it right away. Short of doing it in peron, I think that's the best way.
