First you gotta make up you're mind what type of car you want to run

On road
Off road?

Sounds like you want onroad 1/10 scale.. since you did say RS4..

The HPI is a great car, I owned one. But common wisdom around here and the local track is that its great for bashing and non serious racing. IF you want to race, get a TC3.
I haven't driven a TC3, but I'm guessing that it just handles better!

The RTR kits are right around 300, but think about the kit.. you might like the 2 speed transmission for the added cost! It definitely is worth it!

Btw, please dont use misspelled cuss words! Its against RCU policy!
On that note.. welcome to RCU! I hope you enjoy what RCU has to offer.

My friend has a TC3 and its faster than my RS4 3 SS but he also has an O.S. .15 in it.Handling is a different story, for the parking lots we run on his is almost too low and its at max ride height. Both have plenty of hop ups and seem pretty even overall.

alright so the tc3 would be better if i wanted to become a racer because of the better handling. out of the box which do you think is a better car, comparing the speed, handling, and whatever else there is in the importance of an rc car.

sorry bout the cussin , what rc magazine are pretty good.

The TC3, simple design but great handling; and you don't have to worry a bit on parts and hop ups availability.

Default tc3 which one

i was looking at the tc3 and it had 2 different types: the rear exhaust with starter or the side exhaust with pull start. what is the difference with the side exhaust and the rear exhaust. is there any other difference between the two.

I'd go for the rear exhaust!

You have much better choices and the design is inherently better in my opinion.

But again.. you get a LOT more options with engines.. especially novarossi!

yeah i'd go with the rear exhaust, what i know about it is that its less restrictive on exhaust flow
