Default cheapest proportional steering RC car?

Anyone got any reccomendations for a cheap (and small) RC car for indoor use for my son?

I've bought him cars before but I'm struggling to find something that actually has decent proportional steering, he has the ones that flick left and right but they are so useless.

He's developed quite an eye for daddies RC stuffand I'd like to keep him amused and give him his own car 'like' daddies lol

I've trawled eBay but can't find specific information so if anyone has experience of something good and small, rechargeable would be ideal too.

the is also the propulse b100. it may be too big if your house is small, but its really cheap and pretty quick. plus you can upgrade them with better parts later on.

or the Losi Micro High roller, Micro desert truck (same scale as the micro T)
I got a high roller only issue is its too flip happy
BTW don't follow the charging instructions. Only charge it for 25 minutes, and you will get around 20-25 mins of run time with it from that.
The instructions say something ridiculous like 4 hours but I think they were based on the original chargers that came with the 1st versions.
