Save your blown up, burnt upmetal geared servos. Ihave a burnt up 9001 metal geared servo I kept from my RXT. When the 6001 steering servo stripped a few plastic teeth on my MXT, I installed the metal gears from the blown 9001 servo to the 6001 servo. Now I have a 6001 metal geared servo.
When changing the metal gears from a 9001 servo to another non metal servo, remove the (4) screws from each servo. Place screws aside and keep them seperated. Pull tops off both servos, set servo housingsside by side. Removethe plasticgear set fromthe servo. Place each gear in order from first pulled to last, and in a order that you can remember where they went.Pull metal gears and set in same order. Install 9001 servo gears onto your servo. Use the gear pins from the 9001 servo, do not use the plastic gear pins. Pay attention to the horn gear and the location of the rib on the gear. After gears are lined up, install the 9001 servo top onto your servo. Use the (4) screws from the original servo to tighten servo together. Now you have a fully successfully changed out your plastic gears for metal ones.</p>

NEW HIMOTO 9001 SERVOS!!
These new servos are the bomb guys. At first it looks like a nice shiny metal sticker on the outside of the servo with a HIMOTOlogo. Well it turns out to bea aluminum servo housing. The housing is pretty thick also. The inside is layed out different too. A 9001 9kg servo is 125 oz. in. with metal gears.
