GPM vs. STRC
#2
I have GPM parts on some of my RC's and find there decent (depending on what)
I have shock towers, and steering knuckles by them haven't had any issues.
Only thing is stay away from aluminum arms. RC arms should flex a little to absorb impact, or break to provide a point of failure. The aluminum will do neither and transfer the force elsewhere amplifying what the other parts already were taking, or they will bend and have to be chucked out.
That is coming from experience with aluminum arms. I had em on my MT2 once, hit a bumpwith them on they completely cracked my hub that the arms mounts to the chassis off, also bent my pins that held the arm to the chassis & the arm to the rear wheel hub. Took the arms off went back to the stock arms and haven't broke anything since.
Never heard of STRC before so I can't say how good they are

both seem to get good reviews and strc stuff has been getting a lot of very good ones, i thing some ppl dont like the was the pede/rusty/slash/etc bulk is designed but other than that they seem to have there crap together. i know rcdriver mag just did a full aluminum slash 4x4 using strc parts

I personally wouldn't buy from strc OR gpm. I've seen mixed reviews for both. STRC is making more than just traxxas parts. They make some HPI parts, too(at least for the wheely king). One guy on RC Crawler bought a set of aluminum links for his WK from STRC. Within a couple of runs all four of the lower links were broken. It turns out that the threaded portion of the links were only about 2mm thick.[:'(]
