Default 2S1P vs. 2S2P



What's the difference between the two types of lipo packs? is one better than the other?</p>

2p uses a pair of cells to get the capacity instead of just 1. I prefer dealing with 1P cells because it is simpler , but neither is better.

Please explain what "better" means to you.

2s1p is simpler and 2s2p is more complex.

Generaly speaking the 1p is for smaller models with less power demands, the 2p is for somewhat larger models with higher power demands.

My 12s2p RC "Aeromarine Conquest Pro" boat has 7,400 mah total, (the 12s means 12 cells @ 3.7 volts each so a total of 44.4 volts)

This is a "somewhat larger model" with "higher power demands".

I have two sets of 3700 mah cells to increase the total amps available ( this is what 2p means) so I have 320 amp burst rating.

I have seen extreem high power model boats with 14s4p cells ,but I can't afford anything like that.
