It's a 6v pack, so charge 6 volts at 1C amps. That would be 1.2 amps max. Anything less is OK, just takes longer.

thanks nitro, i am actually trying to cycle the hump packs so they last longer. is it the same for cycling them also?

RE: help with battery

I would probably discharge them at about .5 c or around 1/2 amp for cycling purposes.

thanks kistner,i will set the volts at 5 then instead of 6 or just leave it set at 6v.

Couldn't say. I never cycle NiMH batteries.

I had some nimh that sat for a while that I cycled to get back in good condition, but really once they are charing well there may not be a need.

RE: help with battery

no question is a dumb question if you are trying to make sure you do it right the first time. i never cycled batteries before, i know the 1200 is 1.2 amps, i am not stupid.
i just wasnt sure if that same concept applied to the cycling process.

wow some people are not happy unless they talk crap

A good cycler will figure it out itself!

Oh, and 1200 mah is not 1.2 Amps, it is 1.2 amp-hours.   It is a measure of the capacity of the battery, not the current capability.  I have seen 100 amp ESCs but have never seen a 100,000 mah rc battery.  And my 100 AH car battery will pump 700 amps into the starter, just not for an hour.
