Ok guys, i need to know what to set the amps and volts to when discharging my 1200mah 6v hump pack?

all of you R/C experts and no one can answer this?i am trying to find out what i need to set my charger at to cycle my hump packs. can anyone help?

It's a 6v pack, so charge 6 volts at 1C amps. That would be 1.2 amps max. Anything less is OK, just takes longer.

thanks nitro, i am actually trying to cycle the hump packs so they last longer. is it the same for cycling them also?

I would probably discharge them at about .5 c or around 1/2 amp for cycling purposes.

thanks kistner,i will set the volts at 5 then instead of 6 or just leave it set at 6v.

Couldn't say. I never cycle NiMH batteries.

I had some nimh that sat for a while that I cycled to get back in good condition, but really once they are charing well there may not be a need.

no question is a dumb question if you are trying to make sure you do it right the first time. i never cycled batteries before, i know the 1200 is 1.2 amps, i am not stupid.
i just wasnt sure if that same concept applied to the cycling process.

wow some people are not happy unless they talk crap

Oh, and 1200 mah is not 1.2 Amps, it is 1.2 amp-hours.   It is a measure of the capacity of the battery, not the current capability.  I have seen 100 amp ESCs but have never seen a 100,000 mah rc battery.  And my 100 AH car battery will pump 700 amps into the starter, just not for an hour.

i knew about the amp hours. i just wanted to know how to cycle the batteries. why does there always have to be some one who talks to you like your an idiot for asking a question
in the forums. i thought thats what these forums were sey up for to shoot the breeze and the help each other out. it seems that latley its all about i know more than ypu and you dont know crap
