Now this is good customer service

Bought a Horizon Elliptical couple years back and it has long passed the warranty period.

The pedal started to make cracking noise whenever I try to use it. Couldn't find the parts online anywhere so I contacted Horizon and explained the situation to them. I was planning on buying two new pedals from them, however they sent out two pedals to me for free.

However, when the pedals came, they didn't fit on to my existing lower arms because they have updated the model with newer arms and pedals. Today, I just got a new big package with two more new pedals and two brand new lower arms. The item is big, around 50 pounds, I know it doesn't cost them a lot but if anyone were to send me something that size from the US, we are looking at over $100.

Anyways, I'm happy!

Ok, so RC side of things, I had similar experience with many RC companies and I think they have done a great job. I'm looking to buy a treadmill right now, will probably be Horizon just because of this.

What the hell is up with all these topics lately? A ton of them have nothing to do with RC cars in any way.

RE: Now this is good customer service

Horizon Hobby has great customer service. There was a minor problem from the factory with my 8ight 2.0 and they sent me the part plus over $100 in parts that had nothing to do with the problem.

Hpi is another good one. I lost the screws that hold the exhaust onto my 5SC and they were an impossible to find size (M5x65). I spent forever trying to find them but all the websites were out of stock and hardware stores didn't have them. In final desperation I called HPI's customer service to see if they had a couple on a shelf somewhere that I could buy directly from them. Everything said they were on backorder but the guy sensed my desperation (it had been over a month and I REALLY wanted to run it) and went out of his way to find me a pack of 4. Then he refused my offer to pay for them. On top of that, for some reason, they keep sending me random parts (steering servos, servo cases,,,) and I'm not sure why 'cause I've only called them about the exhaust screws.

Really doubt it. Horizon hobby is in IL, horizon fitness is in WI. I did some searching, but haven't been able to find any connection. This thread should be in off topic.
