Tmaxx
Hey guys, Thought I would jump in and give my opinions on this thread.
Just keep in mind that these are all opinions, nobody here has a crystal ball and can see into your local hobby shop. If you intend to race you need to find out what is popular in your area before making a decision. Most places don't even have a race program or a track. The places that do usually cater to a certain type of racing. I know of very few that run oval, off road, on road all in the same place. So its best to know where and what before you get something. Overall the RC10GT would be the best truck for the backyard and for the track in my opinion. The Losi however is a very good race platform as well. Both cars can be fitted with wheels for the street or the dirt. You just end up have several sets of wheels for each application. Now if you just want to have all out fun then the T-maxx is the thing to get. In some areas they even have T-maxx racing. So if the T-maxx is popular in your area and there is an off road racing track, I would bet that they race T-maxx there. If it were me in your situation the T-maxx all the way, but hold on now, I'm talking about the NEW T-maxx with the Godzilla like 2.5 motor in it. Woooooooohooooo!!!! I want one just to mess with here and there, unfortunately my planes are sucking up all my money like a big sponge. Oh and I forget who said earlier in the thread but if you are going to race, no matter what you get, get the race edition now. You will thank us later, if you still have the thought of add it as you go, uh lol well you better get a second job or something cause its gonna cost ya. Actually your gonna need a second job anyway you just don't know it yet. Good luck Dbow |
Help for choosing a rc car
The Tmaxx is definately the RC to get. There are so many hopups for it, it is hard to keep track of them all. I have had my Tmaxx for over a year. Obviously, the older model. I have so many things on that truck. I am currently even putting a police light system on the top of it. Right out of the box it works. Based on that it is a great truck to get! What you consider difficult to set up is not true. THe only thing you have to do (and that is with ANY RC Nitro) is glue the tires to the rim to prevent slipping, charge the battery for the EZ-Start, and break in the engine (anout 3 tanks of fuel). After that you can run the truck! You may have to adjust the fuel mixture but that is also with any Nitro truck. You cannot go wrong with the TMaxx. You should also visit Maxx Traxx.
