No exaust

Will it do anything to the engine if you take the muffler off the car and run it with out the muffler?
other than making a really loud noise

RE: No exaust

someone asked this before, and theres a site somewhere that explains all this. im not sure where it is, but i have a vague memory of the reason. the back pressure i think keeps the fuel from going straight through the engine? sounds right to me, but thats just me

RE: No exaust

But will it mess the engine up in anyway?

RE: No exaust

might lower performance and i think i saw somewhere it may be bad...dont be dependent on my memory though

RE: No exaust

I'd imagine it would have a negative effect on performance since the 2 stroke engines we use rely on the pipe dyanmics and backpressure to aid in performance.

Ohh ok thanks

RE: No exaust

do not do it there will not be enough backpressure to supply enough fuel, since the oil is contained in the fuel, there will not be enough oil and your engine will probably sieze up

Read the first four words of his post and you have the best advice for your question.

DO NOT DO THIS. This will make your engine explode. It need the back pressure for the engine to run right. Just keep the exhaust pipe on it. Good luck.

RE: No exaust

well, you probably just shortened the life of your engine very much.
